Drake'S Island Resort & Cottages Wells, Wells

I had a very frustrating experience with the reservation process at the hotel. While I eventually got a reservation for one room, I was mistakenly charged for two. On the plus side, the location is excellent and there's potential for a pleasant stay, but the communication and response to issues left much to be desired.

Drakes Island Resort is a real treasure, blending a cozy charm with a dog-friendly atmosphere. My stay was incredibly comfortable in a lovely studio cottage with a private deck. The service from Chelsea and her team was outstanding, making us feel genuinely welcomed. However, the room we initially booked felt a bit cramped, and there were some outdated aspects that could use an upgrade, which held us back from giving this place a perfect score.
